Dear Friends,

I’m beyond excited to finally share The Shot Above—a project created during my last trip to the Peruvian Andes, in collaboration with Nikon. This journey was made possible thanks to the support of many incredible individuals, and I’m deeply grateful for everyone who contributed to both the film and the image itself.

The film offers an intimate look into the challenges and preparations involved in creating this piece, reflecting on the paths that dreams and inspiration lead us down. I recommend watching the film first and discovering the final image there to immerse yourself.

The artwork, revealed at the end of the film, represents a place that left me speechless when I first visited the Andes mountains. I wanted to encapsulate the unique contrasts of this environment—a cold environment that radiates warmth, vastness that makes us feel small, chaos that aligns perfectly. Through this image, I aimed to reflect the emotional connection I felt in that moment, translating it into a scene where opposites harmonize.

Within we find the beauty nature hides,

It’s right above, open your eyes.

This image was crafted from 26 individual photos—8 vertical shots for the landscape panorama, 16 for the sky panorama, and 2 for me standing in the frame. After over a year of planning and dedication, I’m thrilled to finally present the image of this journey.
