Hi everyone!

Just sending a quick note to let you know that next week is a packed one! I’ll be giving three online talks, each one a bit different, and all of them open to join from wherever you are.

Some are free, some are part of larger events, but all of them are accessible and time-zone friendly if you’re in Europe or America.

Here’s a short preview of what’s coming up:

Monday Feb 9th - Beyond Darkness

Hosted by: Nature Photographers Network

Title: Beyond Darkness - Exploring the techniques, challenges, and magic of capturing the night sky

Topic: Introduction to Astrophotography

Time: 7 p.m. CET / 1 p.m. EST

Free & open to everyone

This talk is a full one-hour dive into the world of night photography, especially for those who are curious about how to get started or want to strengthen their foundation. We’ll look at when to shoot the night sky, how to plan a session, what gear and settings to use, and how to start thinking about composition and editing.

It’s designed to be accessible to all levels, whether you’ve never photographed the stars or already have a few Milky Way shots behind you.

Thursday Feb 12th - Discover the Pyrenees Photo Tour

Hosted by: Zoom Photo Tours

Topic: Behind the Scenes of the 2026 Pyrenees Workshop

Time: My session: 7.40 p.m. CET / 1.40 p.m. EST

Free & ideal for those interested in joining the tour

After the success of last year’s Pyrenees photo tour, I’m teaming up again with Zoom Photo Tours to lead a new edition this June. In this short session, I’ll walk you through the tour highlights, itinerary, and the types of shots you can expect, and what the overall experience is like.

This session will be part of a special evening, where three photographers (myself included) will be presenting our upcoming photo trips. The other two presentations will be held in Swedish, so if you join early and don’t understand what’s being said: no worries, that’s completely normal. My talk will start at 7:40 p.m. CET and will be in English.

If you’ve been curious about joining or want to know if this trip could be for you, this is the perfect chance to get the full picture and ask questions live. A few spots are still available.

Friday Feb 13th - The Creative Journey of Winter Nightscapes

Hosted by: Night Photo Summit 2026

Topic: The Creative, Technical, and Physical Journey Behind Nightscape Images - Exclusive Talk for Summit Attendees

Time: 5.30 p.m. CET / 11.30 a.m. EST

Requires ticket to the event

This one’s a bit different. I’ll be part of a 3-day online event with over 40 speakers, and my session is all about the creative and technical process behind winter nightscape photography.

I’ll cover the realities of working in cold, remote, high-altitude terrain; from gear and weather logistics to safety, workflow, and how to build meaningful images in harsh conditions.

This talk also brings in something more personal: how I use writing, reflection, and storytelling as part of my image-making process. And since it was created exclusively for this summit, it’ll be the first time I share this material publicly.

There will also be a live Q&A and breakout session at the end where we can chat more directly.

Whether you’re just getting into astro, curious about upcoming workshops, or want a deeper look into how winter night work actually happens, there’s something here for you this week.

If you’re joining any of the talks, feel free to reply and let me know! I always love seeing familiar names in the audience.

More soon,

Angel
